Code standards
The IAB Voucher Code of Conduct v4.0 and Awin's publisher code, rule by rule, against what PriceZilo actually does.
Affiliate networks require their publishers to work to the IAB UK Affiliate Marketing Council’s Code of Conduct — Vouchers, version 4.0, alongside Awin’s own Code of Conduct for Publishers. Rather than assert compliance, this page takes the obligations one at a time and says what PriceZilo does about each, so the sheet can be held against the text.
Displaying a voucher code
| What the code requires | What this sheet does |
|---|---|
| Show the expiry date of every voucher, or state clearly that none was given. | Every notice carries its closing date. Where a stall published no date, the notice says No end date given rather than leaving the column blank or inventing one. |
| Show the key terms and conditions beside the voucher. | The principal conditions — minimum spend, new customers only, excluded ranges, one use per account — are printed as plain chips next to every notice, with the retailer’s longer wording under See details. |
| Do not display expired vouchers as though they were live. | A notice leaves every live list on the day it closes. It then sits on its stall’s page for 21 days in a block headed came off the line, struck through and dated, and is unpublished after that. Expired notices are excluded from every count on the site and carry a noindex instruction. |
| Make clear whether a code is needed or the discount applies automatically. | Two different controls, labelled and shaped differently: a dashed Reveal code ticket, or a solid No code needed — get deal link. |
Where the codes come from
| What the code requires | What this sheet does |
|---|---|
| Only publish vouchers obtained legitimately from the merchant or its network. | Every notice comes from a merchant feed or a retailer’s own public campaign. Nothing is scraped from another coupon site, nothing is taken from a forum and nothing is generated. |
| Do not publish a code marked exclusive to another publisher. | Codes a network marks as another publisher’s exclusive, and codes filed with the value masked out, are dropped at the door. Network plumbing left in a public title is stripped before the line is read, and if nothing readable remains, the line is dropped. |
| Remove a voucher promptly when the merchant asks. | A request from a merchant or a network is actioned before it is discussed, and no reason is required. Write to assam@pricezilo.com. |
Advertising the sheet honestly
| What the code requires | What this sheet does |
|---|---|
| Do not claim a voucher exists when it does not. | Headlines are generated from live notices only. No page, title or meta description promises a discount the sheet is not currently printing. |
| Do not use metadata that produces misleading search results. | Page titles and descriptions are built from the real, live counts for that page. No brand term is bid on and no title implies an official relationship with a retailer. |
| Disclose the affiliate relationship clearly and prominently. | A paid-listings line sits under the masthead on every page, a second appears above every list of notices, the footer repeats it, and the full account is on the paid listings page. |
| Do not use software that overwrites another publisher’s tracking. | There is no toolbar, no extension, no pop-under and no auto-redirect anywhere on this site. A link fires only when a reader presses it. |
Awin’s publisher code
| Rule | What this sheet does |
|---|---|
| Rule 6 — restricted sectors. | Vaping and tobacco, cannabis and CBD, adult goods, gambling, weapons, prescription medicine and high-cost credit are excluded when the pool is built, then swept for again by keyword across every store name, domain, offer title, description and terms field before publication. The sweep run before this sheet went live returned nothing. |
| Rule 8 — accurate and current information. | Dates and conditions are the retailer’s own. Figures are counted in code from what is published. There are no testimonials, no ratings, no shopper counts and no invented prices anywhere on the site. |
| Brand and trademark use. | Store names are used only to identify whose offer is whose. The mark beside a store name is this site’s own typographic setting of that name in the sheet’s typeface; no retailer’s logo is reproduced anywhere here. |
| Cookie dropping. | A tracking link is followed only when a reader presses a control. Nothing fires on page load, on scroll or in a hidden frame. |
The FTC
US law requires a material connection between an endorser and a seller to be disclosed clearly, conspicuously and close to the recommendation. The line under the masthead, the line above each list and the note beside each control are placed to meet that standard on a phone as well as on a desktop.
If the sheet falls short
Write to the desk and quote the page. It is read, and corrected or pulled. A complaint can also be taken to the affiliate network that runs the retailer’s programme; PriceZilo will not contest a network’s finding.
